A12 southbound junction 20A entry slip

I’m writing to tell you that we plan to carry out resurfacing on the A12 southbound Junction 20A entry slip. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.

We plan to complete this work overnight starting on Tuesday 23 September 2025. We’ll be working between 9pm and 5am, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close A12 southbound junction 20A entry slip. Traffic will be diverted as follows:

Drivers travelling southbound along the B1137 intending to join A12 at junction 20A should continue along the B1137

At Generals Lane Roundabout drivers should take the first exit to rejoin the A12 at Boreham to continue their journey southbound
